In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “I Got Skills.”
Today’s prompt: If you could choose to be a master (or mistress) of any skill in the world, which skill would you pick?
Questions like this are such a joy! They prompt creative thinking and bring to light some very interesting insights about yourself. It would be a great question to pose to your friends next time you see them!
As for me? My skill would be wisdom. I would have the have the inspiration needed for any situation. No matter what skill I would want to pursue, be it art, music, film, I would be able to learn it easily and perform it beautifully. What is so encouraging, though, is that God willing gives us wisdom! It is not an impossible day dream, but is very real.
“If any of you lacks wisdom,
you should ask God, who gives
generously to all without finding fault,
and it will be given to you.” James 1:5
“For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.
He holds success in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.
Then you will understand what is right and just
and fair—every good path.
For wisdom will enter your heart,
and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.” Proverbs 2: 6-10
Hope this serves as an encouragement and joy to you today! I would encourage you to think about the question too. It’s fun and will give some real insight into yourself!
